Importing a vehicle from Japan through VLLdoit is a clear, six-step process. From your first inquiry to collecting at your port, our export team manages every detail.

Find Your Vehicle
Browse our online stock catalogue or tell us your requirements — make, model, budget, and destination country. Every listing includes photos, auction grade, mileage, and export price in JPY.

Request Quotation
Contact us via WhatsApp or the quotation form with the stock number. We respond with a detailed quote covering vehicle price, inspection report, and shipping options to your port.

Confirm & Pay
Approve the proforma invoice and secure your vehicle with payment via bank transfer. Your unit is reserved and removed from open stock once payment is confirmed.

Export Preparation
We deregister the vehicle in Japan, obtain the export certificate, and prepare the unit for loading. Additional inspection or photography is available on request.
- 5
Shipping & Documents
Your vehicle ships via RoRo or container to your destination port. We provide the bill of lading, export certificate, and all customs documentation required for clearance.
- 6
Receive Your Vehicle
Collect your vehicle at the destination port and complete local customs clearance. Our team remains available to assist with any documentation questions through delivery.
Understanding Export Pricing
Quotes are provided in one of three standard incoterms. Your export specialist will recommend the best option based on your experience level and destination.
Free On Board
You pay the vehicle price plus export preparation. Shipping, insurance, and port charges at destination are your responsibility. Best for experienced importers with their own freight forwarder.
Cost & Freight
We include ocean freight to your destination port in the quote. You handle marine insurance and all costs from the port onwards — customs, duties, and inland delivery.
Cost, Insurance & Freight
The most comprehensive option. Vehicle price, ocean freight, and marine insurance to your port are all included. You only pay local customs duties and clearance upon arrival.

- What is FOB pricing for Japanese car exports?
- FOB (Free On Board) is the vehicle price including export preparation at a Japan port. Ocean freight, insurance, and destination port charges are not included. FOB suits buyers with their own freight forwarder.
- How long does it take to receive a car from Japan?
- From payment confirmation to port arrival typically takes 4 to 8 weeks. Export preparation takes 1 to 2 weeks, ocean transit 2 to 5 weeks depending on destination, plus local customs clearance time.
- What payment methods does VLLdoit accept?
- We accept bank telegraphic transfer (TT) against a proforma invoice. Payment must be confirmed before the vehicle is reserved and export preparation begins. We do not accept payment on delivery.
- Can I choose RoRo or container shipping?
- Yes. RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) is the most cost-effective option for single vehicles. Container shipping offers better protection for high-value units or multiple vehicles. We quote both options on request.
